If the last week was somewhat slow in terms of nosebleeds action (and it was), it was more than made up for during the past seven days. Most of the usual suspects took their seats at the virtual tables at one point or another, resulting in a lot of interesting confrontations and big pots being shipped all over the place.

Continuing from where we last stopped, HighStakesDB reported the first significant action on Saturday. The games unfolded on PokerStars' $100/$200 PLO tables with Ilari ‘Ilari FIN’ Sahamies walking away the biggest winner with a profit of $145.5k. Second and third place on the winners’ leaderboard went to ‘JayP-AA’ and ‘WRUUUUM,’ who each won just over $96k.

If you’ve been keeping up with these high stakes reports, then you are probably aware of the recent rivalry between the German regular ‘ Trueteller,’ and Cort ‘thecortster’ Kibler-Melby. So far, things have been pretty much going ‘Trueteller’s way, and Sunday was no exception.

The German started the day by winning $51k from ‘thecortster’ after a short session. After a break, the two returned to the tables and Kibler-Melby proceeded to lose another $78k to his nemesis. After that, ‘Trueteller’ turned his attention to Dutch player ‘Carloooo13,' whom he took for $80k at Full Tilt’s 8-game tables. Overall, the German finished his day with a profit of $209k.

‘ JayP-AA’ booked a six-figure day as well, banking $102.8k, while Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom experienced what is probably a small victory in his books, finishing the day $59k to the good.

Blom, however, would not stop there, as he continued to battle the next day and finished by topping the winners’ list with a profit of $148k. The player on the other side of the table was Steven ‘Zugwat’ Silverman, who couldn’t find a solution against ‘Isildur1’ at Full Tilt’s 2-7 TD tables.

The only other six-figure winner from Monday was ‘ jricardosc,' who earned nearly $116k, while Sahamies and ‘thecortster’ finished Monday by adding $79k and $62k to their bankrolls, respectively.

With two consecutive winning days, it seemed as if Blom was finally finding his way out of a rut, but once again it turned out to be a false alarm. Seeking revenge on Tuesday was 'zugwat,' and he was able to not only recover all of his losses but add a little extra on top, finishing the encounter by winning $170k.

Apart from that confrontation, it was an overall action-packed day at the high stakes tables, as there were three more six-figure winners. Norwegian Ola ‘Odd_Oddsen’ Amdunsdgaard took home $137k after dominating at PokerStars PLO tables; ‘Carlooo13’ took ‘Patriktortonius’ for $130.5k at Full Tilt, while Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond made a profit of $120k after a seven hour 2-7 session against ‘SanIker.'

Win or lose, we all know that Blom won't go away easily, and he was back in action on Wednesday, this time taking on one of the most colorful characters to appear at the nosebleeds tables in recent days. 'Isildur1’ and ‘Patriktortonius’ played a long session, interrupted by several much needed breaks, and Blom was able to take some $280k from his opponent. Adding to that another $110k he won from ‘Zugwat,' the Swede finished the day with a whopping profit of $391k.

Alexander ‘joiso’ Kostritsyn also had quite a day at the tables, pocketing $229k. The action took place over on PokerStars where the games got underway after Gus ‘broksi’ Hansen made an appearance. Gus ended up losing only around $23k after about 1,000 hands played.

Blom and ‘Patriktortonius’ did not finish their games when the midnight hour struck, so while Blom’s huge win was recorded for the 24-hour period, money was still on the tables and at risk. Soon after midnight, PT started gaining some ground and was able to recuperate $177.4k. That, combined with a small win later, put ‘Patriktortonius’ up $181k for the day.

Another six-figure winner was ‘JayP-AA,’ who added $107k to his roll.

The games on Saturday were somewhat different than those on previous days. The two biggest winners were SamRostan ($120.6k) and Elior ‘Crazy_Elior’ Sion ($106.7k).

Finally, Sunday was another big day for high stakes action, with five six-figure winners and games going strong on both PokerStars and Full Tilt. Cort ‘thecortster’ Kibler-Melby was the player topping the list of winners, with a profit of $314k. He finally caught a break against ‘Trueteller,’ making up for some of his recent losses at the 2-7 TD tables.

Viktor Blom continued going strong as well, banking almost $227k. Once again, the Swede battled ‘Patriktortonius’ at the 8-game tables, emerging triumphant after close to three hours of play. ‘SamRostan’ was the third biggest winner, earning $141k.

Over on PokerStars, Ben ‘Ben86’ Tollerene and Ilari ‘Ilari_FIN’ Sahamies both finished with six-figure gains of $107k and $104k, respectively.

Drawing the line

A lot of action usually results in several big winners and quite a few decent losers. The past week was no different. It was Victor ‘Isildur1’ Blom topping the winners’ list with $510k in winnings. He was followed by ‘Jay-P-AA,' who added $447k to his roll, Alexander ‘joiso’ Kostritsyn profiting $357k, and Ilari ‘Ilari_FIN’ Sahamies, who finished the past week $250k to the good.

On the other side of the ledger, there weren't any really big losers. Instead, we had quite a few players leaving $100k or so behind, like ‘ thecortster,’ who ended up down $115k, SanIker, who lost $103k, or ‘Patriktortonius,' who wrapped up the week $93k down.

  • Isildur1 – +$510k
  • JayP-AA – +$447k
  • Alexander ‘joiso’ Kostritsyn - +$357k
  • Ilari – +$250k
  • SamRostan - +$239k
  • Trueteller – +$169k
  • Odd_Oddsen – +$118k
  • Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond - +$108k
  • Thecortster (-$115k)
  • SanIker (-$103k)
