A three way battle for fifth place on PokerScout’s Online Player Traffic rankings is under way as three major networks are neck and neck in the middle of the top ten.

Those networks – PokerStars.it, Full Tilt and PartyPoker – currently have a seven day player average of 1600 players a piece, and are all looking for that extra boost to see them stand out from the pack and possibly move further up the top ten.

If history gives any indication as to who wins the battle, Full Tilt has the greatest chance, seeing as it has had an average as high as 1800 players in recent months.

PokerStars.it and PartyPoker will likely be having none of it, however, as they seek to make their own history and break away from each other to gain the fifth place in their own right.

Should any of those networks be able to gain more players on their network, they may see themselves in another war with fourth placed Bodog in a battle for the fourth spot.

That is because Bodog currently sits in fourth place with a seven day average of 1900 players, just 300 more than each of the aforementioned three networks.

While Bodog continues to enjoy a strong start to 2015 with its fourth place position, it will be interesting to see if that position comes under any major threat from either PokerStars.it, PartyPoker or Full Tilt anytime in the short term future.

The usual three musketeers are still in the top three of the PokerScout player traffic rankings. In third place is iPoker, which has continued to consolidate on its third place position with a weekly player average of 2200.

In the second place is 888poker, which continues to remain the most popular alternative to PokerStars in the world of online poker.

The network boasts a seven day player average of 2700, which is head and shoulders above all other networks not named PokerStars.

It is also a major increase on their player numbers at the start of 2015, which makes it interesting to see whether 888poker can continue its player growth and hit the 3000 mark sometime in the next few months.

PokerStars continues its long stranglehold in the top place in the online poker traffic rankings. The Isle of Man based network currently boasts a seven day player average of 21000, which more than all of the other top ten networks combined.

Winamax, PokerStars.es and Adjarabet rounded out this week’s top ten, with respective averages of 1200, 1200 and 1050.

The rankings battle between Winamax and PokerStars.es will also be interesting to see over the next two weeks, as it may determine who has a long-term place in the top ten.

In the US, the joint Caesars and All American network continues to lead the way in New Jersey with a seven day player average of 220, while WSOP’s online poker network has also kept its spot as the top network in Nevada so far in 2015, also with an average of 140 players over the past week.
