Weekly Online Poker Traffic Update - Full Tilt Inches Away

It is much of the same on the PokerScout’s online poker player traffic rankings this week, with no major changes having occurred.

As always, PokerStars continues to dominate the market, even though it had a slight fall in its player average this week. The network’s seven day player average fell by 500 to sit at 20500 players.

That is well ahead of second placed 888poker, which also had a small decrease in its seven day player average. The network currently has an average of 2600 players, a decrease of 100 over last week’s average.

The company is likely to not be getting too anxious, however, as they still have a significant buffer over third place network iPoker, which also had a decrease of 100 players on its network over the last week.

iPoker currently boasts a seven day player average of 2100 players and will need to find a way to significantly boost its player numbers if it wishes to challenge 888poker for the coveted second place on the list.

However, iPoker could see some competition from Bodog for the third place as it stood pat on its player average over the past week.

Bodog’s player average remains unchanged at 1900, and even a small increase of 100 players could be a cause of concern for iPoker, which has been a top three network in terms of player traffic for quite some time.

Last week we reported a three way battle for fifth place between Full Tilt, PartyPoker and PokerStars.it, which all had seven day averages of 1600 players.

Full Tilt has been able to break away from the group for now. The company currently has a seven day player average of 1700 players and has taken the fifth place for its own.

However, the player averages of both PartyPoker and PokerStars.it remained unchanged at 1600 this week.

That means Full Tilt’s fifth spot is still in danger of being lost or shared with either or both of the aforementioned companies should Full Tilt not be able to continue the growth it experienced over the last week.

Winamax.fr, PokerStars.es and Adjarabet and PokerStars.fr rounded out the top ten.

Winamax posted a small increase of 50 players to currently sit on a seven day average of 1250 players. PokerStars.es, on the other hand, stood firm this week and continues to have a player average of 1200.

Adjarabet and PokerStars.fr are currently tied in 10th place with a player average of 1050 over the past week.

Should PokerStars.fr end up having the higher average, thereby knocking Adjarabet out of the top ten, it will be a symbolic end to Adjarabet’s fall from grace.

The Georgian-based network went as high as third place on the PokerScout rankings last year, but it slipped almost as fast as it rose as player numbers once again plummeted.

In the US, the joint Caesars and All American network continues to lead the way in New Jersey with a seven day player average of 220. Meanwhile in Nevada,WSOP’s online poker network has also kept its spot as that state’s top network, also with an average of 140 players over the past week.
