Weekly Online Poker Traffic Update - PokerStars.it Breaks Away
10 years ago

21 Feb
There have been a few small changes to PokerScout’s online poker traffic rankings list this week, but nothing that could be classed as major.
PokerStars experienced a decrease for the third straight week, with its seven day average having fallen by 1000 to 19500 players. The Amaya-owned network continues to be head and shoulders over the rest of the competition, however, so the decrease is unlikely to be a huge cause for concern.
Second on the list was 888poker, which also experienced a decrease in its player average this week. The company’s seven day player average fell by 100 to 2500. It is a further change in fortunes for 888poker, which had a great start to 2015 and once looked like it was on track to hit the 3000 player average mark.
However, iPoker’s player average also decreased by 100 over the last week to put its current seven day player average down to 2000. The decrease did not affect iPoker’s third place spot on the online player traffic rankings, but it does see the network in the direct firing line of other companies that are further down in the rankings.

One of those companies is PokerStars.it, which had a strong surge in its player average numbers this week. The company currently boasts and average of 1900 players, up a whopping 300 from this time last week. If the network is able to build on its momentum over the next week or two, it may be able to overtake iPoker on the list and move into the coveted third place position.
Bodog also remains a continuing threat to both fourth and third place despite a fall in its player average this week. The company’s seven day player average fell by 100 to currently stand at 1800. However, it only needs to reverse its decrease next week to challenge PokerStars.it for the fourth spot it previously held.
Full Tilt and PartyPoker are currently neck and neck in sixth place, withs both networks having a seven day player average of 1500 players a piece. While Full Tilt has the greater history of advancing higher up the rankings, that does not mean that PartyPoker will not be able to break away and claim sixth spot as its own. Full Tilt and PartyPoker have a great chance of boosting their player averages.
However, it will likely take a decrease in the averages of one of the top five networks to see it move up in the rankings next week due to the large gap between them and Full Tilt / PartyPoker.

Like last week, Winamax.fr, PokerStars.es and Adjarabet rounded out the top ten in PokerScout’s rankings, with seven day player averages of 1200, 1150 and 1100 respectively.
In the US, the joint Caesars and All American network continues to lead the way in New Jersey with a seven day player average of 220. Meanwhile in Nevada,WSOP’s online poker network has also kept its spot as that state’s top network with an average of 160 players over the past week.
