Weekly Online Traffic Update: Back to Status Quo, Adjarabet Slips to 8th

It looks like the status quo has once again been restored to the online poker rankings, for now anyway.
The usual suspects – PokerStars, 888poker and iPoker – form the top three on PokerScout’s online poker traffic rankings. PokerStars continues to maintain its eternal place in first position, enjoying a slight boost this week to take its seven-day player average to 19500.
Far away in second place is 888poker, which currently has a seven-day player average of 2200 players. That gives it a fairly solid buffer over iPoker, which should see them keep the second spot for the rest of the month at least.
However, that buffer is certainly not impossible for iPoker to break past, especially given their recent resurgence which has seen it reclaim the third spot on the online poker traffic list.

While a player traffic average of 1900 is highly respectable, breaking the 2000 barrier would put iPoker in a great spot to challenge its 888 rival for the coveted second spot on the ladder.
It would give it a bit more breathing space over the other online poker networks which languish not so far down the list. The most popular of those this week is Full Tilt, which sits quite comfortably in fourth position with a seven-day average of 1700 players.
There is certainly potential for Full Tilt to face a major challenge from fifth placed PartyPoker. While PartyPoker seems to have a permanent home at the fifth spot, it has passed the 1500 player average, something that eluded the company for quite some time.
PartyPoker currently has a seven-day player average of 1600 players, and that may increase if it can capitalise on the momentum it seems to have gotten over the past few weeks.
PokerStars’s Italian network is not too far behind in sixth spot with a player average of 1500, which is just slightly ahead of Bodog, which came in seventh spot this week with a seven-day average of 1450 players.
Adjarabet appears to have crashed back down to earth after a massive fall from its peak as the third most popular network earlier this month. The Georgian-based network currently sits in eighth position with a player average of 1300 players.

Any further decreases in Adjarabet’s player numbers could have major implications for the top five networks, who may see increases in their averages as former Adjarabet players seek online poker options elsewhere.
In the US, Party Borgata continues to lead the way in New Jersey with a seven day player average of 140, while WSOP’s online poker network also kept its spot as the top network in Nevada, having boasted an average of 130 players for the past seven day period.
