Weekly Online Traffic Update: PokerStars.it Surges, Three Rooms Holding the Same Spot

B:T;here are a few surprises in this week’s online poker player traffic rankings, with a few networks working their way into the top five.
The foremost of those is PokerStars.it, which has traditionally been a company on the fringes of PokerScout’s top ten traffic rankings.
Not this week, though.
The Italian domain of the online poker giant is currently fourth on the list with a seven-day player average of 1600 players.
That puts PokerStars.it behind iPoker, which has decreased slightly this week with its seven-day player average of 1800 players. That is down from last week’s average of 1900, and puts it a fair way behind the top two networks on the list.

It will have to attract a few more players if it is to challenge 888poker for the coveted second spot. However, it still had some breathing room over the rest of the top ten, which means it should stay in the top three for some time to come yet.
In contrast, 888poker saw an increase to its player traffic average this week with 2400 players on its network. That gives it a fairly solid buffer over iPoker and the rest of the top ten, which should see it keep its second place spot for the rest of 2014.
Bodog also had a surprise surge in PokerScout’s player traffic rankings this week. The network is equal fifth on the list with a player traffic average of 1500 players, which ties it with Full Tilt and PartyPoker.
The next week or two will be interesting to see whether Bodog will be able to maintain and consolidate on its growth in player numbers.
Full Tilt had a decrease of 200 players this week as it sits on a seven-day player average of 1500 players. That has put it out of the fourth place spot it had last week, and the network will be hoping it gets enough numbers back to take the spot back from PokerStars.it as soon as possible.
PartyPoker also experienced a slight decrease of 100 players in the last week, and the company will likely be hoping that it experiences no further decreases as it risks having its fifth place spot fully taken from it by its rivals Full Tilt and Bodog.
Adjarabet’s honeymoon appears confirmed to be over as it fell even further in the rankings this week. The Georgian-based network currently sits in ninth place with an average of 1050 players.

As always, PokerStars leads the way in the online poker traffic rankings with a seven-day player average of 19500 players.
In the US, Party Borgata continues to lead the way in New Jersey with a seven day player average of 160, while WSOP’s online poker network also kept its spot as the top network in Nevada, having boasted an average of 140 players for the past seven day period.
