A seasoned poker vlogger, Andrew Neeme is the most recent member of the World Poker Tour's growing brand ambassador team.

The World Poker Tour has maintained its current strategy of boosting its brand recognition via famous video-content producers by adding Neeme to its rising brand ambassador team. Neeme is a doyen of the game, with over two decades of experience as a player, six years as a content creator, and, lately, as one of the popular co-owners of the Lodge Poker Club in Red Rock, Texas.

As a WPT-patched brand advocate, Neeme has joined the ranks of DJ and music producer Steve Aoki, a poker enthusiast, and one of the other co-owners of the Austin-area poker club, Brad Owen. A little less than a month ago, Owen inked his contract with the World Poker Tour.

In a news release, Neeme noted:

"Joining the team of ambassadors at WPT will significantly strengthen my work as a player-turned-creator. I've always utilized my vlog to emphasize the game and the events surrounding a poker-focused lifestyle. Partnering with the World Poker Tour will open up new possibilities and experiences for the vlog and create new ways for fans to connect with this material in person and online."

Neeme and Owen Team Up

WPT certainly has content producers in mind since the ambassador partnership with Neeme comes only weeks after WPT signed Owen, Neeme's longtime partner.

The poker world credits both Neeme and Owen with popularizing the notion of poker Meet Up Games, or MUGs, which evolved from a typical home game into an advertising and aesthetic tool that companies can use in almost any poker facility.
Neeme and Owen traveled together in the United States on a limited scale. Europe hosted MUGs at various stops that included well-known local players, using a style that constantly spun fresh players into the live-streamed action tables, starting in 2017, proceeding until being cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The WPT did not indicate when Neeme would begin his new WPT responsibilities, nor did it say if the famous tour would introduce a WPT-branded edition of the Meet Up Games, which helped Neeme and Owen's poker brands rise.

According to the WPT, Neeme's job will commence this summer. His tasks will include:

  • Visit WPT events throughout the globe.
  • Collaborating with internet partners in marketing events.
  • Developing WPT-exclusive material.

Neeme, a resident of Michigan, began playing poker in 2004 but didn't start vlogging until 2016. Since the debut of his poker YouTube channel.

Neeme has amassed 176,000 followers and millions of views, establishing him as one of poker's most prominent content providers.

World Poker Tour CEO Adam Pliska lauded Neeme's advertising and content-creation abilities to confirm the newest deal:

"A collaboration with Andrew is a natural match for WPT. He is a poker industry pioneer whose effect on the game can be seen everywhere poker is played."

The additions of Neeme and Owen to the WPT's brand-ambassador squad are sure to spark rumors that the WPT may be interested in a third, more prominent Lodge Poker Club co-owner, Doug Polk, as another sponsored web.

Nevertheless, Polk has semi-retired from poker for some years and is a more controversial poker figure overall. In contrast, Neeme and Owen are a well-established duo with substantially minimal downside risk.
