Nevada Online poker - where can you play legally in NV?

Nevada is known as the home of Las Vegas, the gambling capital of the world, but it is also the first in the United States to have legal, regulated online poker. After Black Friday in 2011, Nevada took up the challenge and the Nevada Gaming Commission drafted regulations that December.

The regulations drafted in 2011 didn’t necessarily legalize online poker, only put in place rules that the sites would follow if they were operating legally. In February of 2013, however, the State House and Senate passed a bill that would make it possible for new companies to move in and start running games in the state. The legal online poker landscape has been bleak since Black Friday, but Nevada knows what its citizens want and they have made sure that poker players have the opportunity to play from home or on the go

In 2013, two sites providing online poker in Nevada opened up under the new regulations that make it legal to run operate in the state. Ultimate Poker and WSOP.com both began running games, although Ultimate Poker soon ran into financial trouble and closed their doors.

With the closing of Ultimate Poke in 2014, WSOP.com became the only place to play online poker in Nevada, but rest easy knowing that you are in good hands with the largest poker organization in existence, with a new pool of players always rolling in thanks to the heavy advertising that the company does during the annual World Series of Poker.

WSOP.COM

The World Series of Poker is the largest poker tournament series in the world, and calls Nevada home, so it only makes sense that they would be the ones providing access to online play. Of course, they feature primarily No Limit Hold’em, but they also run games of Omaha, Seven Card Stud, Omaha Hi/Lo, and Seven Card Hi/Lo. The games are always running thanks to the interstate compact that allows players in other states to play alongside WSOP.com players through the 888 network.

WSOP also runs a variety of tournaments each day, in addition to the cash games. These range from single table sit and goes on up to larger multi table tournaments, so there is always action happening as players try to make it to the money. The World Series of Poker

WSOP.com most recently made news when they offered the first online WSOP bracelet tournament through their online platform.
