What was once a field of 816 players is now down to the last six! The winner of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2015 Main Event will be determined today, and one of the six remaining will take home just shy of $1.5 million in cash, a beautiful PCA trophy and, of course, the everlasting bragging rights. Oh, and that cool watch, too.

24 players returned yesterday to seek the glory and riches in one of the biggest events on the tour, all of them well aware that their dreams could be crushed in a second, but still hoping that this was the one in which they go all the way.

Mayu Roca was the player who started ‘visit the rail’ routine, followed by Noah Schwartz, Jim Collopy,Scott Baumstein, start of the day chipleader Eugenio Mattar, Benjamin Polak and finally Uwe Ritter, who fell in ninth to set the stage for the official final table.

Until recently, this is where the play would stop for the day, but following the latest EPT trend, these eight actually continued to battle it out for another odd two hours before calling it a day. During that time, two more players were eliminated, leaving only six to come back and fight for the title today.

Players who fell just short of making it into the final day were Dylan Linde ($140,900) and Pratyush Buddiga ($203,420). Linde lost a classic race with Ace-King against Schulz’s pocket Aces, while Buddiga got it in quite far behind with aj trailing pocket Aces of (again) Schulz.

Despite double elimination at the final table, Kevin Schulz will start today only as the second in chips. Chance Kornuth is the one with the best chance as he returns the chipleader with the stack of 7,860,000. Apart from Schulz, who has 6.1 million, others are quite far behind the top two guys.

Diego Ventura of Peru is sitting on a 4 million stack, the German Niklas Hambitzer will be looking to make something happen with 3,100,000, Juan Martin Pastor of Argentina bagged 2,655,000, while Rami Boukai from the US is the official short stack with just 780,000 and will need a lot of help to come back.

Everybody returning today is guaranteed the payday of at least $285,740, but the difference between finishing sixth and winning is about $1.2 million, so it is the top two spots that everybody will be aspiring too. The final two players will play a heads-up match worth nearly $600k if no deal is made!

Our team is still in the Bahamas and they will bring you some more great interviews today as the PCA 2015 reaches its natural conclusion. Winners in the Main Event and the High Roller will be determined later in the day, and hopefully we’ll be able to separate them from their piles of money for a short chat.

While waiting for that to happen, check out some cool interviews from yesterday, as well as some of the speeches from the PCA 2015 Panel featuring the likes of Barry Greenstein, Jason Somerville and some other big names, discussing some very interesting topics.
