Motivated by the success of the inaugural tournament which attracted 711 entrants back in April, Philadelphia's SugarHouse Casino is ready for another Poker Showdown, scheduled to take place on June 25. The event will feature a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000 and to get their seat at the tables, players will have to pay a buy-in of only $250+$30.
The first Poker Showdown was won by a local, as Adam Williams of Philadelphia seized the day and took home the first prize of $40,004. Williams did not have an easy task as he had to beat a star-studded field, with the most famous name in the crowd being that of Phil Hellmuth.
The guarantee for the inaugural event was nearly doubled, as total prize pool amounted to $177,750 before the registration closed. SugarHouse Casino staff certainly hopes that the Summer Showdown starting in a few days will once again shatter the guarantee and provide for a lot of exciting poker action.

Players will get a good amount of play for their buy-in, as everyone starts with 30,000 in chips and blind levels start at 30 minutes during the opening days, increasing to 45 minutes for the Day 2 and then to one hour on the final day of play.

The full schedule is as follows:
- Day 1A / 1B - June 25 11 a.m. / 7 p.m.
- Day 1C / 1D - June 26 11 a.m. / 7 p.m.
- Day 1E / 1F - June 27 11 a.m. / 7 p.m.
- Day 2 - June 28 12 p.m.
- Day 3 - June 29 1 p.m.
SugarHouse casino has been in business since 2010 and offers numerous features to its guests. Apart from poker room, there is a big selection of slots and table games, as well as variety of dining options and other entertainment options.
