They have been in the online gaming business for the best part of two decades, and Microgaming have shown they’ve still got what it takes to be a top player in the industry.

The Isle of Man-based gaming software development company took out the awards for best Poker Network and best Poker Software at the 2015 eGR B2b Awards in London earlier this week.

The company’s Poker Software award was especially significant as it marked third year in a row that Microgaming has taken out that award.

Relax Gaming also did well at the awards, having received a special Highly Commended mention in the Poker Software category; not bad for a company that was founded only five years ago.

Microgaming Head of Poker Alex Scott said the company was happy with the results and that they were validation of the company’s hard work throughout the year.

To win poker software of the year for the third year in a row is an amazing achievement. It’s nice to see that all our hard work and commitment to poker is being recognised by the wider industry. Alex Scott;

A number of major initiatives have taken place within the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN) so far in 2015. The company announced that Georgian-based poker network Adjarabet would be the first online operator to use its new Babelfish gaming platform.

Earlier this month, Microgaming also announced that it had entered the Indian poker market after it established the MPN India gaming network, on which Thrill Poker currently operates.

Other major awards at this year’s eGR B2B Awards included the award for Live Casino Supplier, which went to Evolution Gaming, and Platform of the Year, which was awarded to Playtech.

Playtech also won the inaugural Multi-Channel Supplier award, as well as the Bingo Supplier and RNG Casino Supplier awards.
