It was the showpiece event of 888’s Super XL series and it lived up to expectations and provided a thrilling final table which saw Belarus player ‘Enigmasility’ bully his way to the ultimate prize and a shot at the Champion of Champion’s showdown.

The $1050 buy-in attracted a massive field of 1096 players, responsible for 344 re-buys and including the 888 ambassadorsDominik Nitsche, Nicolau Villa-Lobos and Natalie Hof, the latter wining the last-longer plaudits and cashing in a very healthy 51st spot.

The big names from the previous 12 days of online festival fun were to the fore throughout, with Uruguay’s Fabrizio ‘DrMiKee’ Gonzales finishing 17th while WSOPE Champion Adrian ‘ADRI_ATM’ Mateos did even better, making the final table but ultimately falling in 9th spot for a $17,250 payday.

The hitherto unheralded Belarussian ‘Enigmasility’ started to dominate when the final table hit the last 6, though not without some timely good fortune, his ace-jack catching another jack on the flop to oust fellow Belarus pro ‘Spider4444’ with ace-king, and then knocking out ‘gusfraba99’ when the river brought yet another Jack – the Belarus player’s favorite card from now on you’d think!

The heads up ended after less than four hands, ‘GoMore21’ open-shoving almost 20 BB which ‘Enigmasility’ snap-called to find his Qc-10s dominating his opponent’s 7h10h. Needing a 6 or 7 on the river to stay alive, it wasn’t to be for ‘GoMore21’, the 10 sealing his fate, although the $190,500 for 2nd spot will surely lessen the pain.

So, the biggest event of the series goes to Enigmasility on the final day of a hugely successful XL festival and all that remains is to see who will take down the Champion of Champion event, the top 18 players on the series leaderboard fighting it out for WSOP packages.

The Main Event final table results and cashes were as follows:
