Beth Shak's Home Broken Into: Hacking Drama Continues

Fleeing New York in an attempt to evade a cyber criminal and stalker who has hacked into a number of Beth Shak's email, social media, and bank accounts did not put an end to the hacking, as Shak recently reported to police that someone had broken into her Pennsylvania home as well.

Shak, an ex-Full Tilt Red Pro who has cashed for almost $500K in live tournament action and was previously married to hedge fund trader and  poker player Dan Shak, claims that a diary detailing the chronology of her hack victimization was stolen in the latest crime. Also missing is her list of passwords that the miscreant apparently used to disable her home security system.

The Hacker Doesn't Have a Shoe Fetish

The alleged crime seems a bit out of the ordinary considering that Shak's shoe collection reportedly worth at least $1 million was left untouched, as were other expensive items in the home. It appears that the burglar or hacker is determined to make Shak's life a living hell, one in which she has to forever be looking over her shoulder, not knowing when the cyber sleuth (or sleuths) will strike next.

The latest Pennsylvania break-in allegedly occurred in mid-June. That followed cyber crimes in April that included stealing some of Beth's topless photos and the violation of her personal accounts. PokerTube reported on that first set of incidents and we sincerely hoped that Shak's plan to relocate would be the end of the story.

Sick and Twisted

Yet the hacking drama has continued in another state, apparently the work of a twisted mind that takes great pleasure in preying on and causing psychological harm to Shak. Reports indicate that law enforcement in both jurisdictions are on the case in an effort to apprehend those responsible and restore some normalcy to Shak's life.

Shak is in the midst of divorce proceedings with her newest husband, Fox News Senior Correspondent Rick Leventhal. The marriage failed to last even the 1-year "honeymoon" phase, but indications are that the parting of ways was amicable.
