There’s rarely a dull moment in the Twittersphere when it comes to poker players and my favouriteCate Hall has been throwing out the ‘blocks’ like confetti this week, Natasha Mercier and Todd Brunson on the receiving end – with Matt Glantz seriously pissed off with the diminutive, mouthy Hall too!

Natasha, the pregnant wife of fellow poker pro Jason Mercier, was ‘first out of the blocks’ if you’ll pardon the pun, apparently unaware of any wrongdoing to warrant Hall’s Twitter-wrath…

It wasn’t long before Hall’s second victim of the day appeared, Todd Brunson, son of the legendary Doyle Brunson, revealed that he was on the blacklist too…

…followed by just about anyone and everyone who has ever liked or agreed with Brunson or with… Matt Glantz!

Poker Night in America host Glantz, it seems, is the main reason behind Hall’s Twitter-bloodbath, apparently his choice of player for the televised show not being to Hall’s taste…

Mike Dentale, as many of you with even short memories will recall, was Hall’s victim in a recent heads-up match, following yet anotherTwitter war which saw insults, threats and bets being thrown like fists at an ice hockey match.

Surprisingly, the recent episode featuring muscle-bound Dentale became heated for the actions of other players at the table, and it was Hall’s tweeting of Glantz apparently excited at the prospect of some table fisticuffs which got Glantz incensed…

…followed by this…

Hall, as I mentioned previously, is a feisty one and rarely backs down – even when she’s in the wrong, as it seems in this case – getting her PNiA players mixed up according to some tweeters…

Once he’d calmed down a bit, Glantz moved on to answer just why he’d invited one or two of the least-respected players in the game to his show, the spark which lit a couple of fires this week including Hall’s…

It seems as though Cate Hall’s Twitter-massacre is over for now at least, but I’m pretty sure she has plenty more names on her hit-list – please not mine though, Cate!
