It was a Sunday of big wins, bags of money and lucrative invitations on Global Poker this weekend past, the Eagle Cup Main Event winners landing RSVP’s to the Tournament of Champions set for Sunday October 28th on the fastest-growing US-facing online poker site.

The Eagle Cup, in its 2nd year, saw Mississippi’s ‘Chiprekt’ scoop the top prize of $C18,850 in the ‘High’ version of the $100k Guaranteed Main Event Sunday Scrimmage after a 6-hour battle, edging out ‘Jamesyant195’ from Pennsylvania heads-up.

The latter walked off with a very healthy $13,850 payday, both players receiving invites to the upcoming Global Poker Tournament of Champions, which will see the winner head off on live poker travels.

In addition, the winners all received a Champion’s Pack that includes a Global Poker T-Shirt and a Global Poker Cap, the Hometown Heroes element of the site rewarding anyone who snaps a selfie wearing their gear around town or in their local casino.

GLOBAL POKER - TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS

All’s well that ends well is a phrase that perfectly covers the stress, tension and swings of playing poker tournaments, for those who win or cash at least, but the Eagle Cup top pair in each event of the series aren’t finished quite yet – all bagging seats in the inaugural Global Poker Tournament of Champions event this coming Sunday October 28th.

Up for grabs? $10,000 in prizes and the chance to represent Global Poker in the live poker arena – a place where previous champions have done extremely well, with Kevin ‘BUYMEDINNER’ Pahl cashing in the WSOP Tag-team event and Sara ‘Sabjo182’ Palmer bagging an incredible 11th spot in the $1k Ladies Championship Event in Vegas the summer.

So, this Sunday will determine the best of the best on Global Poker, and with streamers galore flocking to the site there’s every chance you’ll get to watch along, PokerTube bringing you the latest Tournament of Champions news along the way.
