Viewers are treated to a scenic view of Amsterdam in Jake Cody's latest vlog as the Team PokerStars Pro arrives in the Netherlands to play the WPT festival in that city.

Unfortunately, much of the vlog is rather shaky as the UK poker pro continues learning the ins and outs of YouTube video production. Also, the sound levels go from high to low at various points of the vlog, requiring viewers to adjust the volume while watching.

But those negatives shouldn't deter you from tuning in, especially if you've never been to Amsterdam. Heck, even if you've been there numerous times you may want to watch the vlog, but be forewarned that the city's quaintness and beauty may beckon your return.

Flight Fright

Perhaps the shakiness of the vlog was affected by the passenger seated next to Cody on the plane. Jake admitted to feeling a bit uneasy by the man's apparent fear of flying and recalled the days when he too felt fright and distress when traveling 35,000 feet above sea level.

That fear has since been conquered by the 28-year-old poker pro. Now, fear is likely more of a factor in Cody's life when it’s felt by other players who go up against him at the poker table.

SCOOP

While in his Amsterdam hotel room, Cody enters a PokerStars SCOOP event. He hopes that the "ugly chair" from which he plays can somehow be responsible for a run good that will result in a large payday apart from the live action of the World Poker Tour that brought him to this historic city.

A min-cash put an end to that desire, with the inanimate ugly chair holding no powers to propel Jake to the final table. He did, however, fare better at the live WPT tables, nailing a 3rd place finish in a €2,000 NLHE Turbo event for €8,905 as well as a runner-up showing for €7,420 in a Hyper Bounty tournament after buying in for €1,000.

Subscribers hoping for hand analysis will be disappointed, as Cody does none of that in this video. And while the shots of the bicycle-happy Amsterdam are stunning, poker vlogs can get better than this.
