The weekend's biggest prize pool in online MTT action at Party Poker saw 102 entrants kick in the $5,200 buy-in for Powerfest #26-H, creating $510,000 in prize money.

That amount squeaked past the $500K guarantee, with the lion's share of $110,819 going to 'aLiNeNok1617' for topping the field. He and runner-up 'PhileasFogg' ($103,380) chopped their shares of the prize money when they were the last two players standing, leaving just a few grand to play for.

Also laying claim to a Powerfest title was Anatoly Filatov, who emerged victorious in a $150K GTD event, #24-H. Filatov is a Party Poker Team Pro who plays under the moniker of 'NL_Profit.'

Profit he did, taking home prize money of $57,820 after being among 118 entrants who paid the $2,100 entry fee. The top 16 of those entrants finished in the money, with the prize pool of $236,000 surpassing the guarantee by $86K.

Other notable Powerfest champions include 'probirs,' who fought his way to the top in the $500K GTD Title Fight Special Edition for $82,010; 'Dork Pork,' who outlasted the high rollers in the $250K GTD Super High Roller Special Edition for $82,426; and 'blakjak19,' winner of $39,562 in $100K GTD 6-Max NLHE.


The Sunday Million at PokerStars boasted a prize pool of $1,226,800 based upon the $215 entry fee paid by 4,957 entries and 1,177 re-entries. The title was claimed by João 'soleeJ' Ferreira, who got a taste of Sunday Million final table action three months ago when he finished 7th.

There was no stopping soleeJ on this Sunday, as the Mexico-based player found himself with a huge chip lead with six players remaining. He never looked back from then on, and can now defend his new title next Sunday in the 12th Anniversary Sunday Million that features a guaranteed $10 million prize pool and $1 million to the winner.

In other Sunday action at PokerStars, the $2,100 Sunday High Roller went to '1_conor_b_1' of the Netherlands, whose payday totaled $62,598.70; the $215 Sunday Warm-Up was won by Brazil's 'mr.salgado30' for $47,866.11; and Sweden was home to two new champions as 'IsnapUcry' took home $38,660.98 in the Sunday 500 while 'BoostedBoard' is $27,222.93 richer after downing the field in the $215 Sunday Supersonic.
