The $35 million guaranteed Powerfest is wrapping up this weekend but the party will continue next month at Party Poker as the site announced that its weekly "Title Fight" tournament held every Sunday at 14:00 ET / 20:00 CET will be double the pleasure with the guarantee boosted from $250,000 to $500,000 starting October 1.

Although Party Poker doubled up on the tournament guarantee, the buy-in of $215 will remain the same, which will no doubt put a smile on the faces of loyal Party Poker grinders. Already smiling is Party Poker Team Pro Dzmitry Urbanovich.

“After the huge guarantees during Powerfest, increasing the guarantee of the weekly Title Fight to $500,000 is fantastic news," said the Polish poker pro.

Daily Satellites

While Urbanovich has the bankroll to afford $215 buy-ins, not every online poker player does, which is why Party Poker runs dozens of satellites for the Title Fight starting as low as $1.10. Other satellite entry fees for the flagship Sunday tournament are $8.80 and $44.

Sandwiched in-between the Power Series $109 Main Event and the $530 High Roller, the Title Fight allows late registration through the 15th level and up to two re-entries. It's a favored tournament of several Party Poker pros including Natalia Breviglieri.

"The Title Fight is a regular fixture in my week that’s now about to get bigger and better," Breviglieri said, adding that the boosted guarantee provides "excellent value" for players.

Moving Up

Party Poker has been making advances as of late among the industry's leading poker sites. Player traffic appears to be on the rise, buoyed by online festivals such as Powerfest and a software upgrade last month.

Additional improvements are on the way toward the end of 2017, namely, a phase 2 software enhancement. Players can expect more tournament series' with guaranteed prize pools as well.
