This year's Spring Championship of Online Poker set for May 6-21 marks the 10th anniversary of SCOOP action and will be the largest in PokerStars history with a massive $65 million in guaranteed prize money.

It's safe to say that the gang at PokerStars have a soft spot for anniversaries considering that this latest SCOOP info comes on the heels of the announcement of a special Sunday Million 12th Anniversary Edition: Take 2 set for April 22 with $10 million in guaranteed prize money.

All Stake Levels Covered

The 16 days of SCOOP action come complete with 183 tournaments in a three-tiered format of low, medium and high buy-ins. In other words, 61 events duplicated across three stake levels.

That promises something for every budget and also promises at least one $1 million GTD tournament each and every day of the series. Also promised are the giveaway of five Platinum Passes valued at $30K a piece - one to each Main Event champ, another reserved for the SCOOP Leaderboard winner, and the last to the victor of a special all-in shootout.

SCOOP High Points

While aiming for a chunk of that $65 million in prize money and the Platinum Passes that include travel and hotel expenses and a seat in the PokerStars Players NLHE Championship in January 2019 in the sun-drenched Bahamas, keep in mind the following SCOOP highlights:

  • The High Rollers of all three stake level events on Wednesday, May 9 will feature a $1 million guarantee
  • The guarantees of the three Main Events on Sunday, May 20 that have buy-ins of $109, $1,050 and $10,300 have attached guarantees of $1.5 million, $4 million, and $5 million, respectively
  • Any and all players of SCOOP events in years past can participate in a freeroll on May 5 that will award $50,000 in SCOOP tickets
  • Spin & Go qualifiers at $7.50 and $35.00 buy-ins can win SCOOP entries up to $25,000
  • Spin & Go challenges can be parlayed into two $25,000 Weekly Challenge Freerolls that award tickets to SCOOP events
  • A bevy of SCOOP Leaderboard prizes including a Platinum Pass

It's the 10-year anniversary of SCOOP and it all goes down from May 6-21.
