Another week of nosebleeds action has passed. Once again, it is time to see who the big winners and big losers were in the biggest online games on the planet. Old rivalries continue and new ones were created, all to the pure pleasure of the railbirds.
We concluded last weekâs report with the big clash between âTruetellerâ and âthecortster.â The German pro was the player walking away with his head held high, as he took Kibler-Melby for nearly $160k. But âthecortsterâ did not wait long to return the favor.
The two met again on Sunday and started their nearly 5-hour long match on Full Tilt at the highest available 2-7 TD tables. On several occasions through the contest it seemed as if âTruetellerâ would once again triumph, as he had about a $100k lead not once, but twice, according to HighStakesDB. It was not meant to be this time around.
Kibler-Melby was able to turn the tables on the German pro during the second half of the confrontation, creating a nice cushion between him and his opponent before hitting a real good run of cards that saw him eventually leave the tables almost $183k to the good.
Sunday was rich in action, as âCarlooo13â and âIsildur1â clashed at the $2k/$4k FLO8 tables. After about an hour of play, âCarlooo13â was able to accumulate $141k in profits, making it a pretty bad day for the Swede.
PokerStars was not lacking in games either. The tables over there were dominated by Russian pro Alexander âjoisoâ Kostritsyn, who added $112k to his winnings, nearly half of which came from heads-up sessions against Viktor âIsildur1' Blom.
The only six-figure winner in Monday's games was, once again, Cort âthecortsterâ Kibler-Melby. His opponent was none other than âTrueteller,â as the duo continued to test each otherâs mettle. This time around, âthecortsterâ walked away with a profit of $148k after about two and a half hours of play and 267 hands.
The second biggest winner for the day was âZugwat,' who accumulated the combined profit of about $90k across two sites versus his opponent on both Full Tilt and PokerStars: Viktor Blom.
Weâve said it many times before and we'll say it again, Alex Kostritsyn is crushing. Apart from an occasional downswing, the Russian pro seems to be among the most consistent winners lately. Wednesday saw him take on âEireAbuâ on PokerStars and after an hour of play at the 2-7 TD tables, âjoisoâ was up a cool $170k. The rest of his profit came from several sessions spread across the mixed game tables, bringing his total for the day to $198k.
âZugwatâ and Viktor âIsildur1â Blom continued to battle and Blom continued to lose, as âZugwatâ added another $97k to his bankroll.
Thursday action was marked by the big win of Elior âCrazy_Eliorâ Sion. After playing about 2k hands and spending around 10 hours at the PokerStars tables, Sion was able to accumulate a profit of $231k. The majority of that sum came from âRavenswood13,' with another $59k coming from a late session against the usual suspects like âSauce1230' and âGVODZIKA55.â
Doug âWCGRiderâ Polk was the second biggest winner of the day, with a profit of $62k. He took on âasianflushieâ across three tables on PokerStars and emerged victorious.
The final games for this report took place on Friday. It was again an exciting day at the tables, as âTruetellerâ and âthecortsterâ squared off once again and, this time around, the German pro was able to book a big win over his opponent. His $240k score came from a two-hour session and, after pretty much dominating the entire match, âTruetellerâ brought the score closer to even.
Ben âSauce123â Sulsky was able to break the 6-figure mark on Friday as well, claiming a profit of $101k. The majority of his winnings came from the 2-7 TD matches against Luke âlb621â Schwartz.
Bring on the Russians!
Or donât⌠Alex Kostritsyn was, once again, at the top of the winnersâ list with another $345.5k profit. With that, his combined earnings for the past fifteen days between the two major sites climbed to around $1 million!
Another big winner was Elior âCrazy_Eliorâ Sion, who added $304k to his bankroll from several different sessions, the most important being the one against âRavenswood13.â
âZugwatâ had a good week as well, as his accumulated profit on PokerStars and Full Tilt rounds up to approximately $215k, mostly courtesy of Viktor âIsildur1â Blom.
Cort âthecortsterâ Kibler-Melby was able to negate his weekend loss and actually make some profit against Trueteller, so his week ended with a $165k profit.
Ben âSauce123â Sulsky did well for himself, padding his roll with another $133k.
As for Viktor Blom, he was last weekâs biggest loser, as he left around $378k at the tables. Things did not go right for the Swede in any of his games and his lifetime graph took another significant dive.
âTruetellerâ was on the wrong end of his matches against âthecortster.â He was able to mitigate the losses in their last session, but still finished the seven-day period stuck for about $157k.
Gus Hansen is still busy playing bridge.
