In a recent tweet, Doug Polk announced that he and notorious prop bettor Bill Perkins have agreed to terms on a body fat loss bet with $200,000 on the line. Hereā€™s everything you need to know about it.

One Year to Half the Fat

It all started when Polk put out a tweet stating he was looking to take action on himself in a fat loss bet. Polk, who has been on his own fitness journey, stated that he has plateaued and is looking for extra motivation.

Perkins was quick to reply to Dougā€™s tweet, stating he was interested in the bet. According to the reply, Perkins is familiar with losing body fat.

Polk also got some replies from his followers. One thought it was too easy of a challenge for Polk.

ā€œI think ā…“ is probably going to be too easy,ā€ one user tweeted.
According to his reply, Polk is in the best shape of his life, and taking on this bet is a way to motivate him even more.

A few days later, Polk announced that the two have agreed to terms, and the bet is officially on.

The terms are as follows:

  • Polk as one year to reach half of his body fat percentage (27.7% to 13.85%)
  • A $200,000 straight bet goes to either Polk for completing the challenge or Perkins if Polk fails to complete it
  • A monthly body fat scan will be posted to track Polkā€™s progress

No Strangers To Props

The bet couldnā€™t involve more perfect participants. Both Polk and Perkins were participants in some of the more ā€œfamousā€ prop bets in the poker world recently.

Four years ago, Elky and Polk were heads up in the $111,111 High Roller for One Drop event when a prop bet between the two was made. It was simple. The runner-up simply had to adopt the winner's hairstyle.

When Polk took down the tournament, Elky made good on his promise and was rocking the staple Doug Polk cut.

More recently, Perkins was behind the Ultimate Sweat challenge that involved Matt and Jamie Staples that took the poker world by storm. Jamie wanted to lose weight while Matt was looking to pack on the pounds.

So, Perkins laid $150,000 against the brothersā€™ $3,000 and the two had to get within one pound of each otherā€™s weight. The two eventually reached their goal and won the $150,000 prize and celebrated with a greasy pizza.

Do you think Polk can shred his body fat and win the $200,000 prize?
