Prosecutors in Broward County court purport that a woman from Georgia left her three children unattended in her vehicle overnight. At the same time, she played poker at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood.
According to an arrest form, a complaint of three kids sleeping off in a vehicle prompted Seminole tribal police officers to be sent to the Lucky Street parking garage's third floor shortly before 3:30 a.m.
Police discovered that the vehicle was not running.
Furthermore, the police report reveals that they detained Icese Laporsha Simmons, 33, of Albany, Georgia, when she returned to her vehicle just after 4 a.m. while police were present.
As per the court proceedings, officials indicated that Simmons spent three and a half hours at the casino playing poker while her children, aged four, ten, and twelve, were left alone in the basement.
Authorities charged her with child negligence, and a judge has barred her from communicating with her kids. The police report reveals that the kids are now in the custody of the Florida Department of Children and Families.
