The largest poker information and player referral network in North America, PokerAtlas, announced in the press release from earlier today the launch of their latest product, TableCaptain. This management software system has been described as the "most advanced, user friendly and cot efficient" management system for poker rooms in the industry.

Whether for a property with one table or 100 tables, this system is a must-have to improve any poker room's business while impressing its players.

Industry veteran Linda Johnson explained that this system is a must-have for any live poker room looking to improve the overall experience of customers and the staff alike. The system boasts different useful functionalities, which are very easy to master.

TableCaptain makes it possible to perform the complete management functionality from one computer, from cash game waitlists, to keeping track of tournaments, registered players, levels and all the way to different business analytics.

The software is fully customizable to fit different needs that any particular poker room might have. Depending on the requirements, the pricing of the product varies as well.

Rooms that decide to purchase TableCaptain also enter the marketing partnership with Poker Atlas, which will feature their tournaments, waitlists and promotions from the software on PokerAtlas website. The company expects that in near future it will be possible for users to use a mobile app to register for the tournaments or sign their name on the waitlists online, before arriving to a venue.

Since PokerAtlas ranks high in Google search results, rooms entering the partnership should see benefits from the increased visibility on the World Wide Web.

Technology has entered nearly all aspects of everyday lives and poker will likely follow the suit. That's the idea behind the TableCaptain, as Jon Friedberg, CEO of PokerAtlas explains.

Our vision behind TableCaptain™ is to provide the most versatile and reliable solution utilizing modern day technology, and addressing the demands of casino properties and players alike.

Screenshots certainly look promising and being able to deal with everything from the one centralized station would certainly make life much easier, especially for the bigger rooms. According to the press release, the system is already found in the poker establishments in California, Nevada and Florida, with more installations scheduled in the coming months.

With or without TableCaptain, technology will certainly play an important role in the future of poker around the globe and the only question is who will come out with the most suitable offer in terms of pricing, functionality and installation.

As with every innovation, some will love the new, cool displays, others will hate them as something that doesn't belong there as it has never been there, but things change and, in the end, everybody adapts and the show goes on.
