Rake-free poker games sounds like a dream come true for players, and now TonyBetPoker has introduced just that to complement their Open-Faced Chinese offerings.

The independent online poker room have launched micro-stakes versions of Texas Hold’em and Omaha cash games without rake, and soon plan to add higher stakes tables, plus SNG’s and tournaments.

The site sprang up two years ago as an exclusively OpenFaced Chinese (OFC) poker room, but in a recent press release TonyBet explained that they wanted to provide “action-packed poker gaming with players getting involved in as many hands as possible."

Rake-free games are available in 6-handed Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) with blinds ranging from €0.01/€0.02 to €0.25/€0.50, but the site say that they have plans to gradually increase the availability of games at different stakes. This will include adding SNG’s and tournaments in the newer formats.

Tonybet's spokesman Warren Lush explained:

We remain the world's leading open-face Chinese poker site, but now with the addition of new cash games give our players the chance to play no-limit hold'em and pot-limit Omaha on our site instead of searching for them somewhere else."

TonyBet Poker brand ambassador Isabelle Mercier said she was “super excited” about the new offerings. The Canadian pro has been running a series of online tutorials explaining the nuances of OFC, but is also well-known for her NLHE skills which have netted her $1,216,830 in live tournament winnings.

We love OFC poker here at Tonybet and will continue spreading the word about this rapidly growing game," said Mercier of the announcement. "However, the new games will give us even more leverage in the competitive online poker market. I really admire the decision to make them rake-free on launch which should drive a massive amount of players once the good news gets out."

Although most eyes are on TonyBetPoker’s upcoming OFC World Championship, due to start on December 6th, Warren Lush explained:

The launch of our in-house-built, rake-free six-max Texas hold'em and pot-limit Omaha cash games has been on our agenda for a while now and we didn't want to wait any longer."

The site was the brainchild of one of poker most-loved (and hated) personalities – Antanas ‘TonyG’ Guoga, a poker pro, businessman and member of the European Parliament for his home country of Lithuania.

This year’s OFC World Championship, the second such event, will see players return to the King’s Casino at the Corinthia Hotel in Prague in what promises to be the biggest-ever live OFC tournament.

PokerStars Mind Sports Ambassador and chess aficionado Jennifer Shahade walked off with the €10K High Roller title at last year’s event, scooping a record OFC prize of €218,500. This year will see 3 events being fought out over 3 days, starting with the TonyBet OFC €350 buy-in Progressive Pineapple on December 6th, the €10K High-Roller on the 7th and finishing with the Main Event World Championship on the 8th, with a €1000 buy-in.

TonyBetPoker is offering Daily satellites to both the Main Event and the Progressive Pineapple with buy-ins ranging from freerolls to €150 buy-in small-field satellites. Satellites to the live €350 Progressive Pineapple are already running, giving you an opportunity to qualify from as little as €5.
