Biography
Daniel Negreanu is, without a doubt, one of the most recognised players of modern day poker. His huge personality and love for the game have taken him to top of the popularity scale in the eyes of poker fans and professional players.
He was born in Toronto, Canada on July 26th 1974, and started learning poker when he was 15 years old. Negreanu often speaks fondly of the old style of poker grinding, no online, just pure live poker at his local casino. He would grind there like a 9-5 job, and he put less emphasis on how much he was up or down, and more emphasis on improving his game in the long run. This obviously worked out well for him, as he is widely regarded as one of the best poker players ever, with lifetime tournament cashes of around $18m.
He is a regular on most televised poker tournaments or cash games, such as High Stakes Poker, Poker After Dark, and the EPT.
Daniel Negreanu won six World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and two World Poker Tour Championships. Global Poker Index (GPI) has recognized Negreanu as one of the best players of the past decade.
Negreanu was also named WSOP Player of the Year for the year of 2004 and 2013. In 2014 he was also added in the Poker Hall of Fame with other well known Poker Legends like Doyle Brunson, Stu Ungar, Johnny Chan and others.

They are good friends off the table but fierce rivals on it and even their styles of play fit in such a way where the likelihood is that when they meet at the table there will be lots of memorable poker moments for us viewers to enjoy.
Many poker enthusiasts find themselves wondering which country has the best poker players in the world and that's precisely the question we'll attempt to answer today.
Daniel Negreanu has reacted to the shock return of Chris ‘Jesus’ Ferguson at this year’s World Series of Poker by lambasting the former Full Tilt pro and co-owner’s decision in a series of Twitter messages online.
Netflix's newest poker documentary suffers a number of setbacks. We examine them all in a critical review.
Often a combination of the players natural urge to show their emotions and their personality coupled with their awareness of the cameras being present are the perfect recipe to creating memorable and entertaining poker video.
If the first week of the 2016 World Series of Poker brought us the shock returns of both Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson, and all the talk of recriminations and reprisals which went with it, then the 2nd week hasn’t let us down either.
The Canadian maestro is incensed at Ferguson’s refusal to apologise, answer press questions or even give statement on his role in the Full Tilt scandal, a debacle which saw over $440million of player funds disappear into a black hole.
When it comes to the Main Event it’s the characters rather than the actual cards which tend to live on in memory – so this fantasy final table reflects that, pitting heroes against anti-heroes, with much more on the line than the $10million and the bracelet.
