$5 million Super XL kicks off 888’s New Year

It’s one of the biggest names in online poker and there’s $5million up for grabs when it kicks off – so it has to be the 888 Super XL series I’m talking about. More than ten days of online bliss with satellite qualifiers mixing it across a number of buy-ins with established pros - and the 888 ambassadors stepping up to the plate with bounties on their heads!

The 64 events kicks off with the $109 buy-in series opener, with $100,000 guaranteed to get the best online players in the mood for what’s to come, culminating in the Super XL Champion of Champions Event on the last day of the month.

Chris Moorman, Sofia Lovgren, Dominik Nitsche, Natalie Hof and many more of the 888 ambassadors will be taking part from various parts of the globe, giving fans a great opportunity to play against some of the best online tournament players out there.

Moorman is the highest-earning online pro in history – over $10million in earnings – and joined the 888 team this past summer, adding a ton of credibility to their site.

Nitsche – the first German and the youngest player to win three World Series of Poker bracelets, will be participating from Australia, combining his Aussie Millions plans with the biggest online festival of the year for the 888 crew.

Other ambassadors such as Hof and Lovgren will doubtless be using the XL series to warm-up before the 888Live festival descends on the King’s Casino in Rozvadov in a couple of weeks, where a bounty will be on their heads to add to the excitement.

Lovgren will need the prep, spending the early part of 2017 soaking up the sun…

All the big names from the site will be expected to tune in and play the Main Event which kicks off on January 29th, the $1.5million guaranteed prizefund making the $1050 buy-in a good chance for someone to ‘Make it Big’.

PokerTube will be covering the biggest of the tournaments, the $2100 buy-in High Roller set for January 24th looking like a great event, while the smaller buy-ins such as the $160 Tune Up event and the Saturday and Sunday challenges catering for the enthusiastic amateur and satellite qualifiers.
