While Vegas still mourns, left reeling from the 58 dead and hundreds more injured in the mass shooting on October 1st outside the Mandalay Bay Casino and Hotel, Dan Bilzerian and Dakota Meyer are still squabbling away â the son-in-law of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin challenging the Instagram king to a fistfight to settle their differences.
The squalid dispute began when Meyer described Bilzerian as âdisgustingâ for fleeing the scene of the carnage when 64-year old Stephen Paddock opened fire on a crowd of concert-goers from the window of his 32nd floor hotel room. Meyer wrote:
âA woman just got shot in the head and you are running away filming. People are dying, you're running away not helping them and pretending it's worthy of a video, it is disgusting.â
Bilzerian responded and also released footage from a friendâs phone describing âwhat really happenedâ in which Bilzerian is seen helping an injured woman and asking an LVPD officer for a gun in order to help police. The policeman allegedly responded:
âNo, get the fâk away from me right now. I donât know who the fâk you are⌠you know better than that.â

Bilzerian added to the video, stating:
âIâm a sworn commissioned reserve police officer, I wouldnât normally tell you that, but I think itâs important you know that for the context of this video. I am not a medic or a hero in anyway, my instinct when someone is shooting at me is to get a gun and shoot back.â
Meyer had previously tweeted: â@danbilzerian this is what kills me about people like you. Always playing âoperator dress upâ and so so tough when the cameras are on,â the playboy high-stakes poker player retorting that Meyer was a âretardâ.
Along with his friendâs footage, Bilzerian wrote:
"Thereâs a lot of media and keyboard commandos saying people who ran were cowards, this is probably the dumbest thing Iâve ever read, and the next time there is a mass shooting, everyone who doesnât have a gun should absolutely run, it is so sad and pathetic that I even have to clarify that in anyway. I really canât believe the kinda bullshit the media is feeding people these days."
The tit-for-tat continued in the intervening days, Bilzerian coming in for criticism from the Medal of Honor hero Meyer for âdivulging his wifeâs phone number publiclyâ. He accused Dan Bilzerian of giving out his wife Bristol Palin's phone number to his friends, which he claimed had led to a series of prank calls to her.
"Why don't we handle this like men? You got it? You got it, Dan? I'm waiting," he wrote.
Taking to Instagram, Meyer rather bizarrely challenged Bilzerian to a fistfight, claiming that:
"My family is my purpose⌠and now youâre my mission⌠you just need to tell me when and where.â
Bilzerian hasnât yet publicly responded to Meyerâs video.
