We've all had days at the poker table that we'd much rather forget.

A miserable run of dead cards, endless bad beats, ill-timed bluffs that prove unsuccessful. There are a bunch of ways that things can go wrong while playing poker that can turn a day at the tables into a real bummer.

A recent tweet by David 'ODB' Baker revealed that he had one such day at the 2017 WSOP. While records for futility are typically not kept, at least one Twitter follower of ODB's believes that Baker may have set a new record in the category of the number of buy-ins in one day that go for naught.

As you can see from the above tweet, Baker claims to have entered and/or re-entered WSOP tournaments seven times in one day and failed to land in the money in any of them.

Baker's first KO was the $10,000 Dealer's Choice Six-Handed (Event #17) that garnered 102 entries and was won by John Racener for $273,962. Next up was the $565 Pot Limit Omaha (Event #18) with unlimited re-entry where ODB shot two bullets without hitting pay dirt.

His day was capped with four attempts at another unlimited re-entry, a new tournament at this year's WSOP known as The Giant (Event #19). A $365 entry fee 4x reduced Baker's bankroll by $1,460 and a bubble finish on his fourth try was hardly any consolation, but rather a likely source of more frustration.

Better Days Ahead

However, being the pro that he is ODB seems to have taken the bad day in stride. He tweeted that he is blessed with a "short memory" and was anxious to head to the Rio the next day "to try again."

Lest readers begin feeling sorry for Baker, I'm happy to report that a subsequent tweet the following day found him in much better spirits and back to his winning ways.
