Former Teen Poker Prodigy Annette Obrestad Turns to Makeup Vlogging

She was the internet poker prodigy who bagged $millions both online and live before she was out of her teens, but in a curious case of poker ‘where are they now’ Annette Obrestad has rediscovered herself as a YouTube make-up vlogger.

The Norwegian sensation, known by her Annette_15 tag from when she was an underage online poker grinder working her way from freeroll success to $million stardom, now spends her time sharing beauty tips.

Living in Vegas, and - incredibly for those of us who grew up watching her - now 30 years old, Annette has gained 8000+ followers for her YouTube channel, and her Instagram version of annettesmakeupcorner is starting to catch up.

In her previous incarnation on the felt, Obrestad became the inaugural winner of the WSOP Europe, the £1million payday (at the time $2,013,733)  accounting for just over half of her career tournament earnings and arriving the day before her 19th birthday!

Her online record was also stellar, but it wasn’t always controversy-free – Obrestad’s public endorsement of her sponsors Lock Poker continuing even as the site sank, and with it $millions in player funds.

In today’s world of Annette_30, and still just about recognisable as the teenage girl the poker community were enthralled by, if Vegas poker players ever need a make-over, they know who to call!
