Persistence paid off for longtime PokerStars grinder '12u55,' who topped a field of 6,369 entries to take home $129,761 in the Sunday Million. It was the Canadian's first six-figure payday after more than a decade of action at PokerStars and came on the heels of a $35K cash four months ago in the Sunday Grand.

The Sunday Million prize pool of $1,273,800 meant that the winner was due to fetch $171,957, but '12u55' and three tablemates worked out a deal when they were the last four players remaining. Each got better than the listed 3rd place prize money, PokerStars Blog reported.

The player who agreed to accept the least amount of the final four, Poland's 'grigorq,' managed to hold better than a 2-1 lead in chips over '12u55' when heads-up play began. But the Pole's shot at the title and the remaining prize money ended when his big slick failed to connect with an ace or a king from the board, falling in defeat to pocket fours.

Also featured at PokerStars was the $2,100 buy-in Sunday High Roller that guaranteed $150K in prize money. That guarantee was shattered when 134 runners ponied up the entry fee, boosting the prize to $268,000.

Another deal was made at the final table, but only the last two combatants were in on it this time. Those players were 'vojta555cz' and 'hdjgkfgsdl' who agreed to split the cash and leave about $4,500 to play for along with the title. That title went to the Czech Republic's 'vojta555cz' after he eliminated his deal-making opponent.

Powerfest may have ended last week at Party Poker, but the $250,000 GTD Title Fight did not. A $215 buy-in drew 1,302 entrants and created a prize pool of $260,400, with the top 168 players finishing in the money.

The title went to 'Wayan3,' who outdueled Party Poker mainstay 'TorTor2012' for the lion's share of the prize money. Party Poker LIVE president John Duthie landed in 23rd place.
