Some things take a long time to come home, but the Punta del Este stop of the WSOP Circuit (WSOP-C) will make it three years in a row for poker players and fans in Uruguay, partypoker LIVE bringing their expertise to the South American country from the 6th to the 16th of December.

When Brazil’s Andre Sa took down WSOP-C gold last year in the WSOPC Main Event, he finally repaid the nation for their neighbours to the south-east scooping World Cup soccer gold on Brazilian soil way back in 1950!

With local hero Fabrizio Cataldi taking down the 2016 Main Event at the Enjoy Conrad Resort and Casino, the 1-1 poker tie could well be broken – although there are sure to be plenty of outsiders making a run at the $1100 buy-in flagship event of the series, partypoker’s LIVE Dollars satellite entries guaranteed to boost the field across the 18 events.

With ten ring events among the 18 tournaments on offer, the first shuffle up and deal of the series comes on December 6th, a $400 Turbo to get everyone in the mood, with the Main Event starting the following day.

Main Event

With a buy-in of $1100, and three separate starting days, it’s likely there will be a good number making their way through to day 2, but come the final table on the 12th December there will be one lucky player left standing – last year’s winner Sa walking off with $144,975 and this year’s prizes expected to be even bigger.
