With no men at the table, the Ladies Night cash game hosted by Poker Night in America allowed some of the top women in the game to compete against one another sans the testosterone-fueled and ego-driven environment commonly found at poker tables.

The Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida was the setting for the PNIA action that featured poker pro-turned music mixmaster Vanessa Rousso, "Bet Raise Fold" documentary leading lady Danielle 'dmoongirl' Anderson, and newlywed and mother-to-be Natasha Barbour Mercier.

Those three were joined by Samantha Abernathy, Stacey Sullivan, Esther 'E-TAY' Taylor, and Abbey Daniels in a $25/$50 cash game. Buy-ins ranged from $5,000 to $15,000 for the action that took place on December 1, 2016, as none of the ladies opted to lay out the $20K maximum.

Salty Language

"What the fu*k was I doing in that hand," Rousso wondered aloud after finding out that her ace-rag was only third-best after folding on the river. The winner was Abernathy, who scooped a $3,175 pot when a club on fifth street completed her flush, relegating Sullivan's two pair to second-best.

Rousso's wonderment and despair turned to glee on the next hand profiled when fifth street brought her a full boat, ruining the straight of Daniels. Abbey couldn't resist calling Vanessa's $2,525 all-in bet, resulting in a $7,350 pot.

Rousso, who has publicly announced that poker will take a back seat to her music career, finished the session ahead $2,800. The 2015 "Big Brother" contestant remains as one of poker's top all-time tournament money winners among ladies.

Ixnay with that Uff-blay

As action continued, a semi-bluff re-raise on the turn to $5,500 by dmoongirl on a paired board was not enough to make E-TAY amscray from a growing pot that climbed to $16,350 after Taylor made the call. E-TAY, whose moniker would likely get nods of approval from Moe, Larry, and Curly, saw her diamond flush draw connect on the river, prompting an all-in that quickly forced Anderson to scram from the hand.

Taylor cashed in four events at the 2016 WSOP, including a 4th place finish in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo Split-8 or Better Championship that boosted her bankroll by $107,551. Her lifetime earnings on the tournament circuit have passed $775K.

Bet, Raise, Win

Anderson was not bluffing, however, when she check-raised Daniels to $2,200 on the turn with two pair. Abbey must have put dmoongirl on a bluff and called with only pocket eights with the board showing two overcards.

Another king on the river gave the former Ultimate Poker ambassador a full house. Daniels again made the call after Anderson pushed her entire stack in the middle.

"Every once in a while I actually find it," Anderson said, after scooping $12,800.

Friendly Game

The Ladies Night session concluded with not much cash changing hands. E-TAY won the most at $6,850 while Daniels was furthest in the other direction at minus $6,325.

The other five ladies were within $3K, plus or minus, with Mercier and Rousso joining Taylor on the positive side of the ledger.
