With the Main Event, plus the €25k and €50k Super High Roller events taking up most of the column inches at the 2015EPT Barcelona €10k tournament. That would be a big mistake!

With over 100 re-buys on top of the 401 entrants, the prize-pool almost touched the €5m mark, and many were unconvinced that 3 days would be enough to separate what was an immensely strong field. Martin Finger, who had just won the €25k event for a bumper €865,900 payday was there, as were the likes of Johnny Lodden, Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, and a host of other high-class and high-rolling contenders.

In the end it was Mustapha Kanit who prevailed, lifting the title and €738,759 after a 3-way deal was reached at the final table - Kuljinder Singh and Nick Petrangelo finally convincing Kanit to bring the event to a close. As reported here

Kanit, however, has been like a man possessed this year. His Monte Carlo EPT €50k Super High Roller win back in May netted him €936,500, and the prospect of another title (aided by more than 20 friends and followers on the rail) spurred him on to yet another victory here in Barcelona.
