In the world of poker vlogging there is one man who cracks me up totally – Jeff Boski – who deliberately or otherwise reminds me of ‘Troy McLure playing Grand Theft Auto’ in his latest offering, which sees him facing a huge decision against an elderly woman with almost $10K on the line!

His weekend of poker started as one of those horrible, can’t-catch-a-break-type affairs, with every flop, turn and river bringing nothing but woe, but Jeff ‘Boski’ Sluzinski is a hard man to deter!

As we wrote recently, ‘With his wry sense of humor and Southern drawl, Jeff is not a one for messing around with fancy shooting, he films on an iPhone and edits on iMovie’ and that’s more than enough to capture Jeff’s tournament the following day – a $225 re-buy at the Wynn Casino which saw him make the final table.

Adding in an interesting little cash game mid-break for the PLO fans out there, and a foodies dream casino buffet, it was his deep Saturday run which brought him face-to-face with, shall we say, a lady from an older generation.

Listening to the thought processes of strong players is guaranteed to help your own poker, so when the flop hits Boski but his opponent starts betting, it’s an interesting situation. And the all-in is a painful blow which sends him into the tank.

Boski asks his viewers – 2500 subscribers and counting – to pause and consider what ranges his elderly opponent might have, and what factors he has to take in to account as he fights for his tournament life.

Is she outright bluffing? On a draw? Playing straightforward poker as many older people do? Or does she have the absolute ‘coconuts’ as Will Kassouf might say?

Well it’s impossible to know for sure as Boski folds and lives to fight another day, but the comments section describes what his ageing nemesis claims to have held, and it’s not what the rest of his table was claiming and giving him pelters for!

Boski eventually cashes in 7th spot for a very decent $1275, although it’s clear the man himself had the almost $10K first prize in his sights most of the way.

All-in-all it’s a good vlog, well-edited and unique enough to add Jeff Boski to your regular playlist from the dozens of poker vloggers out there. Oh, and although the old lady action begins around the 4:20 mark, make sure you watch it to the very end for a big double YouTube bonus – I can’t say more as this is a family-friendly site!
