If the sums of money weren’t so life-changing it might actually be getting boring by now! Yesterday saw PokerStars crown their fourth $1million winner of the week, with ‘barrakuuda4’ taking just 20 minutes to secure the massive win.

When the Estonian sat down at 10.43pm local time, he paid his $100 buy-in and the wheel was spun. Seconds later both he and his 2 table-mates - ‘minargyuri’ from Hungary and ‘KvicKiller’ from Czech Republic knew they were assured of at least $100,000 when the PokerStars Anniversary Spin and Go dial hit the magic $1milllion mark.

56 hands of poker later, ‘barrakuuda4’ was almost assured of millionaire-status when his pocket 4’s held up against the A♄ 10♄ of the Hungarian, the board bricking (see photo below) and leaving the Estonian with an over-whelming chip lead, which he converted one hand later.

One seasoned poker railbird said, “I could barely stomach watching it,” as he watched the action unfold according to PokerStars, who have paid out well over $3billion on the 3-Max Hyper Turbo tournaments since their introduction a year ago.

Yesterday’s big win comes on the back of wins by ’prophethicks’, ‘wrawras’ and ‘Samara LĂșcio’ this week, each one walking off with $1million.

Brazilian ‘Samara LĂșcio’ was the first lucky winner when she landed her million last Wednesday from a $5 stake, and the following day fellow-Brazilian ‘wrawras’ repeated the feat, this time with a $100 buy-in. The 3rd fortunate poker-soul was ‘prophethicks’, the Englishman turning his $5 into $1million in only 7 minutes!

The Spin and Go format has seen other sites copy its successful introduction, but the PokerStars version remains the most popular, with over $3billlion being handed over in prize-money since its inception.

The fast-paced, 3-Max Hyper Turbo tournaments feature a randomly drawn prize-pool (the ‘Spin’ part of the name) which will award between 2 and 3,000 times your buy-in.

The Anniversary promotion – which will run until November 1st - has increased this ratio, and Spin & Go's are available at seven different buy-in levels: $1, $3, $7, $15, $30, $60 and $100, where regardless of the buy-in players will start the tournament with 500 chips and play three minute levels.”
