Thereās rarely a dull moment in the Twittersphere when it comes to poker players and my favouriteCate Hall has been throwing out the āblocksā like confetti this week, Natasha Mercier and Todd Brunson on the receiving end ā with Matt Glantz seriously pissed off with the diminutive, mouthy Hall too!
Natasha, the pregnant wife of fellow poker pro Jason Mercier, was āfirst out of the blocksā if youāll pardon the pun, apparently unaware of any wrongdoing to warrant Hallās Twitter-wrathā¦
It wasnāt long before Hallās second victim of the day appeared, Todd Brunson, son of the legendary Doyle Brunson, revealed that he was on the blacklist tooā¦
ā¦followed by just about anyone and everyone who has ever liked or agreed with Brunson or with⦠Matt Glantz!
Poker Night in America host Glantz, it seems, is the main reason behind Hallās Twitter-bloodbath, apparently his choice of player for the televised show not being to Hallās tasteā¦
Mike Dentale, as many of you with even short memories will recall, was Hallās victim in a recent heads-up match, following yet anotherTwitter war which saw insults, threats and bets being thrown like fists at an ice hockey match.
Surprisingly, the recent episode featuring muscle-bound Dentale became heated for the actions of other players at the table, and it was Hallās tweeting of Glantz apparently excited at the prospect of some table fisticuffs which got Glantz incensedā¦
ā¦followed by thisā¦
Hall, as I mentioned previously, is a feisty one and rarely backs down ā even when sheās in the wrong, as it seems in this case ā getting her PNiA players mixed up according to some tweetersā¦
Once heād calmed down a bit, Glantz moved on to answer just why heād invited one or two of the least-respected players in the game to his show, the spark which lit a couple of fires this week including Hallāsā¦
It seems as though Cate Hallās Twitter-massacre is over for now at least, but Iām pretty sure she has plenty more names on her hit-list ā please not mine though, Cate!
