Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson continued his resurrection as a top live tournament poker player with his 12th cash of the summer by finishing in 4th place in the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Championship for $150,929.

The former Full Tilt board of director is only one behind the record of 13 cashes set last year by Roland Israelashvili. Through Wednesday, 51 events are in the books, giving Ferguson and other players plenty of time to break the record with 74 events on the schedule, which is an all-time high for the WSOP.

I mention others because hot on Ferguson's tail are Mike Leah, John Racener and Ryan Hughes, who have each tallied 11 paydays at the 48th annual poker festival, according to WSOP.com.

Time to Forgive and Forget?

Ferguson, of course, is still scorned by some in the poker community for the mismanagement of funds at Full Tilt, where he was one of the head honchos. Jesus took a 5-year hiatus from live WSOP action from 2011-2015 due to the FTP debacle, returning last year and cashing in 10  events.

Of his 12 cashes this year, 4th place in $10K PLO Hi-Lo was Ferguson's lone final table. The majority of the others can be categorized as min-cashes, save for a 12th place finish in $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo for $22,396.

Ferguson's career WSOP cashes total 86, good for 6th place on the all-time list. His lifetime earnings in all live tournament action currently stands at $8,750,434, according to the Hendon Mob.

A five-time WSOP gold bracelet winner, Chris currently holds down 2nd place in the 2017 WSOP Player of the Year Race. His POY point total of 599.50 trails only the 614.87 of Raymond Henson, who has nine cashes this summer and four of those at the final table.
