It’s been a quick and successful start to Global Poker’s latest tournament series, the RAPIDO living up to its name with fast-paced action and guarantees being smashed yet again by the leading US-facing online poker site…

The week that was…

With the first week of the SC$160,000 guaranteed, fortnight-long schedule almost complete, players have been winning – and winning quickly - across a range of events and formats, with the traditional online offering of No Limit Hold’em boosted by Fixed Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha and the introduction of the exciting No Limit Crazy Pineapple format.

Fast and Furious…

Two hours is the average tournament time for the latest in a string of successful Global Poker series’, the RAPIDO adrenalin rush of turbo and hyper-turbo events offering players the chance to play 4-max and 6-max tables, ensuring fast action and speedy results, buy-ins ranging from $C11 all the way up to $C110.

Big Antes, big prizes…

The ante events have proved to be especially popular, with the Big Ante (where the Ante starts massive and stays that way) and Ante Up events (where the blinds stay the same and the Antes increase every level) showing that innovation and clever ideas is a big attraction for modern online poker players.

Next up in Rapido…

Week two of the RAPIDO promises no let-up in the schedule, the 42-event series continuing on Tuesday with the much-anticipated SC$4,000 guaranteed, 4-Max Turbo Event followed by the newest kid on the Global Poker block – Crazy Pineapple tournaments starting next Sunday with $1500 in $weeps Cash up for grabs.

What else is on offer?

Alongside the RAPIDO series, Global Poker will be running its daily and weekdays Hyper-Turbo schedule, early mornings and late afternoons taken care of with the Breakfast Epiphanies, Lunch Money and Eyes Wide Shut! tournaments catering for those who just can’t get enough action.

There is also the Gold Coins RAPIDO schedule, allowing you to play tournaments for play money, which you can then convert to $weeps Cash if you fancy a crack at the real action. Two tournaments every evening for the entire length of the series means that nobody misses out.

How does $weeps Cash (SC$) work?

Looking for a way to re-introduce the game to the US market, Global Poker came up with a cunning plan…

You can play with two currencies, Gold Coins and $weeps Cash.

  • When you buy Gold Coins we give you bonus $weeps Cash free of charge.
  • Gold Coins let you play for fun, but switch to $weeps Cash and you can play for real money.
  • Cash out your winnings using WorldPay.

Global Poker added WorldPay last month in response to player requests, the world's largest payment platform being listed on the London Stock Exchange earlier this year and processing more than 40 billion transactions annually, utilizing more than 300 different payment types.
