Neeme Fires Shots At Kitchen Table Vloggers With Manz

‘Game recognizes game’ was the order of the day when Pete ‘Manz’ Manzinelli sat down with fellow vlogging star Andrew Neeme – although two more different characters you’d be hard-pushed to find in the poker world!

Manzinelli is a law unto himself, his faux-gangster/baller persona hiding a quick-witted and sharp mind, while Neeme is one of those deeply thoughtful types, with no airs or graces.

Anyway, when the two got together for Manz’s latest podcast, Neeme’s popularity as a poker vlogger was first up, the Michigan-born pro surprised yet obviously pleased that he is recognized now when he plays - fellow poker pros and amateurs congratulating him on his excellent videos.

The real face of poker

“It speaks to how connected the poker community is,” says Andrew, “and also the fact that it seems like there was a little bit of a demand for this kind of content where it was directly applying to the kind of everyday $1/2, $2/5, $5/10 grinder.”

Manz covers a huge amount of ground when he pins someone down on tape and wants to know how Neeme has enough hours in the day for everything he does.

“You launched your ‘Favorable’ t-shirts and I hear you got engaged - how are you going to juggle all these things? You’re a busy dude!”

Luckily, says Neeme, his fiancée is involved in the business side of things.

Stag night nightmare?

Manz, who spends a decent part of the chat trying to crack Neeme’s rather squeaky-clean image, tries yet another tack at digging up dirt!

“What are you doing for your bachelor party?”

When Neeme says he has no set plans, and asks Manz if he has some suggestions outside of a Las Vegas weekend, Manz jumps in immediately and tries to claim the best man role as his own!

Manz’s idea for Nemme’s stag night is:

“Charter a private jet, get all the best poker vloggers (and your friends, family, etc), head down to the Bahamas…we’re all just vlogging dude…swimming with turtles, drinking 40’s, we got the strippers, we got the ladies…and we’re just filming 24/7.”

It’s funny shit – but if Neeme has any sense, he’ll avoid a crazy Manz-led weekend like the plague! “I promise I won’t get you in any compromising situations which could sully the dignified Andrew Neeme’s name,” says Manz – with about as much sincerity as a politician’s pledge to reduce your taxes!

Kitchen table vloggers

“Everybody’s poker vlogging these days… what’s your pet peeve?” asks Manz, hoping to get a bit of controversy going, but Neeme’s diplomacy is hard to break down. Eventually he settles on the number of hand analysis videos from the kitchen table, wondering, ”How many of hands do we really need to talk about?”

“Let’s capture some more poker lifestyle stuff. Let’s get more personal… you know, 45 minutes at the kitchen table of poker hands… let’s do something fun and different with the poker vlogs.”

A lively Manzinelli chips in “Kitchen table is the new mom’s basement,” harking back to the original written poker blogs which pervaded the earlier poker era.

“Is there one poker vlogger you don’t like?” but Neeme doesn’t bite. Manz, however, isn’t shy about his own personal beef, with Trooper97 – which he promises will come out in the open at some point!

Manz is a hilarious guy, and Neeme is the perfect side-kick – the straight man in the comedy duo. If you like your poker vlogs to be both amusing and interesting, this pair is where it’s at – and it’s not the kitchen table!
