Durrrr's Facebook Cloned?

Almost everyone has experienced their Facebook accounts being cloned at some point, and it’s a pain but usually very obvious and quickly resolved, but when you’re Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan who knows what it might lead to?

Well, most everyone in the poker world would like to have a chat with ‘durrrr’, the poker-genius who disappeared into the mists of Asia a couple of years back and very rarely emerges these days.

There’s no suggestion that anything untoward happened with the fake Dwan messages, but one can imagine some unsuspecting soul being asked for $ by the Dwan clone and only too happy to oblige – stranger things happen in the poker world every day, and players can more gullible in this game than almost any other for some reason.

But it’s not the first time Dwan has had to deal with trolls and fakes, as he confirmed with his subsequent tweet…

…but it’s got to the point with Dwan that no-one has a clue what is or isn’t real any longer?! Are his first tweets in 18 months even from him? Well, yes, they almost certainly are – but when you go awol you set yourself up for such things.

His last actual confirmed sighting was the Triton Super High-Roller last year, and he appeared recently in a couple of training videos on Paul Phua’s new website, but for the most part his life in the Far East is shrouded in secrecy.

Daniel ‘Jungleman’ Cates has recently been talking about the ‘durrrr’ Challenge being resurrected – the ‘Holy Grail’ of heads-up nosebleeds which was abruptly halted a few years back with Dwan stuck in a $1.2million hole less than half-way through the match.

In any event, it appears that Facebook isn’t the only place wannabe Dwan’s are playing, one of ‘durrrr’s Twitter fans adding…

So, if Dwan does get in touch with you, just give him a call to double-check it’s really him… and then pass his number on to me so I can get that ever-elusive interview and tell the world what ‘durrrr’ is really up to!
