During the weekend a screengrab of an Uber driver complaining about Phil Hellmuth surfaced on the web.

#POSITIVITY - this is a phrase someone browsing through 14-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth’s social media is bound to come across. He has been using the hashtag in almost every post he makes recently - and, not coincidentally, it’s also the title of his latest book which is about having an optimistic mindset, available on Amazon for $11.28.

However, during the weekend the Poker Brat - who got his nickname from his often less than cordial demeanor at the table, especially when he loses a pot - drew the attention of the online poker community for something else - someone took a screengrab of a female Uber driver named Danielle complaining about Hellmuth as a passenger, claiming that he ordered an XL car just for himself, left trash in her car and did not tip her at all.

Some people, including Doug Polk on his Facebook page, pointed out the contrast between Hellmuth’s positivity campaign and his alleged bad behavior with the Uber driver. Daniel Negreanu, on the other, hand jumped to his defense on Twitter.

Former World Series of Poker tournament director Matt Savage also echoed the sentiments about what the Poker Brat is like in person.

Hellmuth reciprocated Negreanu’s kind words by calling him a “huge asset for poker” on Twitter - this a clear response to Polk’s comments he made last week on his live stream with Joe Ingram, where he called Negreanu an “embarrassment to the game” and “a little bitch”.
