The infamous internet playboy and self-proclaimed poker pro Dan Bilzerian has been signed by ALQ Gold Corp. and Vulcan Enterprise to promote their new Cannabis products worldwide.

Whether Dan Bilzerian made his fortune through poker or not may always be a question, but we can be sure about one source of his income from now on at least: Vulcan Enterprise has purchased the exclusive rights to use Bilzerian’s voice and likeness to promote Cannabis products. Vulcan will give license to the other company involved, allowing ALQ too to advertise legal Cannabis with Bilzerian.

The “King of Instagram” always seemed to be fond of recreational marijuana. For example, back in April he celebrated his girlfriend, Sofia Bevarly’s birthday at a Cannabis farm in Denver, Colorado - he shared that moment with his Instagram followers as well.

Later this year he announced on his Twitter that he is in talks to produce a reality TV show about him running a marijuana dispensary in Las Vegas, but nothing more has been made public about that project ever since, and it is uncertain whether it’s actually going to see the light of the day.

Bilzerian found another way to get in the marijuana industry, however. With his new deal, ALQ and Vulcan are reportedly planning on developing Cannabis brands with names like “Burn by Bilzerian” or “Ignite by Bilzerian”.  The contract also allows for the companies to utilize Bilzerian’s widely popular social media accounts. Bilzerian has over 23.2 million followers on Instagram, 1.48 million on Twitter and over 12 million likes on Facebook as of today. Bilzerian will also make personal appearances for his new sponsors.

The details of the deal are somewhat convoluted. Neither companies - ALQ or Vulcan - that acquired the rights to Bilzerian’s likeness have a history of being in the recreational marijuana business. They have just bought a share of the Canadian company that does just that, Salvation Botanicals for $500,000, however. They intend to change their name to Green Axis Capital Corp. in the near future according to their press release, and produce and sell their Cannabis-related goods under that name.
