It’s the most heart-warming Christmas story poker has ever seen – a husband reduced to tears when his wife gifts him a World Series of Poker trip, with the poker community then coming together to gift him a trip to the Bahamas, offers of coaching and way more besides!

Tennessee player Jeremy Hilsercop was overcome with emotion when his wife Randi gave him the ultimate Christmas present of flights to Vegas, a stay at the Rio and a buy-in for a WSOP tournament – something he’d never quite been able to afford before.

As the story went viral, however, Jeremy was about to receive gifts from a slew of Secret Santas! Well, not so secret of course, as Joe Ingram stepped up to the plate – telling PokerStars he’d only accept his own Platinum Pass to the Caribbean if they gave Jeremy one too!

PokerStars snap-called on that, so Jeremy will be playing the $5k buy-in PSPC event at the PCA in a few weeks, wife Randi coming along for good measure.

As Twitter lit up with the Christmas goodwill story, stars of the game stepping in to offer Jeremy coaching and buy pieces of any WSOP action he might fancy… Maria Ho ensuring wife Randi got some well-earned kudos for being, well, the ultimate poker wife!

The list of pros offering congratulations was as long as any Santa list - David Baker, Andrew Neeme, Kevin Martin, David Lappin among others, with Phil Galfond’s RunItOnce training site offering coaching and several poker podcasters looking to interview the couple.

So, a Christmas poker tale for the ages – and PokerTube wishes Jeremy and Randi every success as the dream comes true!
