Phil Hellmuth Biography
Phil Hellmuth is one of the biggest names in poker history, with no less than 13 WSOP bracelets to his name. However, he is also just as famous for his rants and blowups at the tables, being known as the original 'poker brat'.
There have been an uncountable number of Phil Hellmuth Blowups flying about over the years, so you can definitely expect some fantastic viewing with Hellmuth involved, here at PokerTube. You can also expect to see him on many of the High Stakes Poker Seasons.
The poker community of the world is pretty much divided, with half admiring his poker skills and half not being too partial to his infamous rants. Hellmuth is very much an old school player, and an excellent one at that.
He was born on July 16th in Madison, Wisconsin, and now has two children with wife Katherine Sanborn. He became the youngest player ever to win the WSOP Main Event in 1989 at the age of 24, and he's not slowed down since.
He is currently 4th in the WSOP All Time Money List with slightly over $12m in winnings, and almost $18m to the good throughout his life for live tournaments and he was also included in the Poker Hall of Fame in 2007.
Outside Poker Hellmuth has been involved in several ventures outwith playing poker himself.
He actually helped create the UltimateBet software and was, of course, a Team UB pro. He has also been involved with several coaching poker videos, and written many books. www.pokerbrat.com was launched by Phil in 2008, and allows for the purchase of Hellmuth poker gear, with poker updates about Hellmuth himself.
