Doug Polk is âa Trollâ Just in it For Drama and âCold Hard Cashâ Says Daniel Negreanu

The gloves were well and truly off last night as the long-running feud between Daniel âKidPokerâ Negreanu and Doug Polk reached new heights â or depths â with the Canadian accusing his equally famous rival of being âa troll and actively looking to create drama, attacks, views, to turn that into cold hard cash.â
Polk, for his part, responded by defending his highly-popular YouTube vlogs, his poker channel having over 175,000 subscribers â and his crypto channel recently beating that number â by claiming Negreanuâs attack is a deflection from the PokerStars manâs own âunethicalâ behaviour.
Joe âChicago Joeyâ Ingram was the main âgo-betweenâ for Negreanuâs insult-laden attack, Ingram up for the same video blogger of the year award, a category which Polk and Negreanu (and Andrew Neeme) are also nominated inâŚ
Ingram, a close friend of Polk and a man who has recently taken a much more aggressive role in the public outing and discussion of various problems in the poker world, wasnât letting Negreanu have things all his own way with his vitriolic Twitter verbalsâŚ
âŚwhile Polk jumped back to his âPolker Newsâ account to keep things freshâŚ
The war of words between the pair has covered many different arguments over the past few years, just last week Polk describing Negreanu as âan embarrassment to the gameâ, as well as âa little bitchâ during a YouTube podcast with Joe âChicago Joeyâ Ingram.
Negreanuâs defence of âincreased rakeâ on his sponsorâs site PokerStars has been the main bone of contention â the Canadian and his supporters absolutely convinced he has had his words taken out of contextâŚ
⌠while Polk and many others are equally adamant that Negreanu is part of the problem rather than the solutionâŚ
While the arguments raged, one of the best vloggers out there - and a man who doesnât seem to have anyone on his back to argue with - Andrew Neeme was quietly named the Vlogger of the Year and therein lies a lesson perhaps.
