Mike Postle is facing financial ruin after Veronica Brill and Todd Witteles filed a joint involuntary bankruptcy petition. The pair won their anti-SLAPP lawsuits against the alleged cheater and now want compensation and their legal fees covered.

Facing Ruin

Mike Postle must have assumed that his $330 million vexatious lawsuit for defamation would drive the haters away, leaving him free to enjoy the spoils of what he is alleged to have done. Unfortunately for the Californian, he couldn’t have been more wrong.

Now abandoned by his legal team and facing the wrath of both Brill and Witteles, Postle’s life couldn’t be any worse. The legal fees he owes are pushing $55,000, and there’s a chunk of consumer debt too. How much does he owe his former legal team in fees?

As of yet Postle has avoided clearing any of his debts and hasn’t been seen in public recently. Not that it matters, because come August 12 a 21-day waiting period will end when the courts will be able to start eyeing up any assets he has, including his home.

The courts will also begin a process to identify any deliberate deprivation of assets. Giving away assets of any kind to avoid a legal judgement is against the law and will ultimately be undone anyway.

Where will Mike Postle appear next? We’d love to see the reaction if he turns up on the first day of the World Series of Poker. If not, then we can expect some kind of public appearance when he either pays up or begs to keep his house.
